Women in the Pike Creek area now have access to the most advanced breast screening technology in a relaxing center with beautiful décor and features to make them feel comfortable including soft warm robes, private dressing rooms and coffee or tea in the waiting room.
“We know how difficult it can be for women to make themselves a priority, and we want to encourage them to get this exam that can save their lives,” said Ella Health Chief Executive Melissa Dyrdahl. “We’re glad to be a part of the community and we’re looking forward to making women feel welcome here.”
That warm welcome starts with a friendly greeting as soon as women come in and continues throughout the exam as our experienced mammo techs explain what they are doing and take the time to listen to patients and answer questions.
Ella Health offers 3D mammograms because of the advantage they provide in detecting cancer while reducing unnecessary call backs. During a 3D exam, multiple images of the breast are taken at different angles. These images are then compiled and viewed as a 3D reconstruction of the breast. All mammograms are read by board certified radiologists.
In Pike Creek, as with our other centers, appointments can be made online and with short notice, sometimes on the same day. The center features a relaxing atmosphere with soft music, tea and coffee in the waiting room, soft warm cloth robes and private dressing rooms. Results are delivered quickly, generally within one business day.
